LAHORE: Shaheen Shah Afridi will be replaced by Mohammad Hasnain in
the Pakistani team for the T20 Asia Cup, which will take place in the UAE from
August 27 to September 11th.
Pakistan's chances of winning the 2022 Asia Cup were
severely hurt when Afridi had a knee injury and was forced to withdraw from the
competition and the England series.
22-year-old In 18 T20I matches for Pakistan, Hasnain has
taken 17 wickets.
Hasnain will join the team from the United Kingdom, where he
is competing in The Hundred as a member of Oval Invincibles.
Hasnain will join the
United Kin side. In the meanwhile, early on Tuesday morning, Asif Ali, Haider
Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Usman Qadir will fly to Dubai. They will replace the
six players who made up the 16-member ODI squad against the Netherlandsgdom
when he is playing for Oval Invincibles in The Hundred competition: Abdullah
Shafique, Imam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Haris, Salman Ali Agha, and Zahid Mehmood.
The other side On Sunday, August 28, Pakistan will play host
to India; on Friday, September 2, Pakistan will play host to a qualifier (one
of the following: UAE, Kuwait, Singapore, or Hong Kong). The Super Four games
will take place from September 3 to September 9.
