Pakistan v Netherland 2nd Odi Highlights.

OVER VIEW:

Pakistan v Netherland: Pakistan won by seven wickets to secure a series triumph.

In the second one-day international, played in Rotterdam on Thursday, Pakistan defeated the Netherlands by seven wickets to clinch the series. Mohammad Rizwan and Agha Salman both scored unbeaten half-centuries. Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan and the top-ranked ODI batsman in the world, struck 57 runs off 65 balls before Rizwan and Salman guided the visitors home in pursuit of 187 with 16.2 overs remaining. As Pakistan faltered early, Dutch seamer Vivian Kingma quickly and cheaply dismissed openers Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq. However, Azam and Rizwan stabilised the innings before Salman completed it by smashing his first ODI fifty. Aryan Dutt's top edge to midwicket ended Azam's 88-run partnership with wicketkeeper Bas de Leede as he reached fifty for the 38th time in 89 ODI innings by Rizwan.

Mohammad Nawaz  the Man of the match:

Today I did enjoy it very much and it seems like Karachi. I believe that occasionally it might be a little challenging because the bowlers come after me once they encounter speeds of 90 miles per hour, but occasionally it can also be advantageous because if I bowl in a good region, wickets may come to me. My main goal is to serve as an all-around player for my team. Whether it's batting, bowling, or any other activity, I just give it my best. Whenever my team is in need, I must serve as an all-around player on their behalf.

Nariman Abbas: "Is it too soon to claim that Agha Salman is stepping into Hafeez's footsteps, though? Or the bright young Qasim Akram could run against him!"

After the initial hiccup, skipper Babar and Rizwan played cautiously to calm things down. The Pakistani batters put on a clinical effort to grab a 2-0 series lead. In place of his skipper, Agha Salman entered the game and began mowing with the first ball. Salman punched through but Rizwan hung on to reach his fifty. The bowling card didn't reveal much, but Kingma was excellent early on.

Captain's Talk After Match:

BABAR  AZAM:

The fast bowlers bowled really well and took wickets in the first 10 overs, and later spinners Shadab and Nawaz also bowled very well and took wickets. This is a wonderful start for us. We wished to bowl first. Undoubtedly since there was moisture on it in the morning; that is why I told you we would bowl first due to the varied pitch type. Bravo to the quick and spin bowlers. (On Salman Agha) We are experimenting with different lineups, and Agha demonstrated his class in the second round. They are playing more games now, and they appear to be more confident and inspired, as evidenced by their excellent performance today and anticipation for the upcoming encounter.

SCOTT EDWARD

We definitely went a little bit too hard at first because we anticipated it would be a little challenging at first. It's always difficult to come back from three down in the first ten, but I thought Tommy and Bas were amazing. At the very end, we only needed someone to accompany Bas. We kind of believed that a score of 250 would have put us in the game. Bas and Tom could have continued to adjust even if they had added another 5 to 10 overs. But as things stood, we were unable to move forward in the lower tier.

Regarding raw pace and dealing with finger spin, I believe the wicket this week does favour finger spinners, and he was making good use of the surface. So yes, it is regrettable that the innings has probably seen a few wickets lost. I believe there are still many advantages to consider. It is nonetheless the same. We just need that victory, so we'll keep improving and hopefully secure it on Sunday.
