The UAE would host the 2022 Asia Cup, the largest cricket tournament in Asia. India, the current champion, will make an attempt to retain the title. On August 28, the Men in Blue will play a titanic match against their bitter nemesis Pakistan.

The seven participating teams will be eager to compete against one another as the competition among Asia's top cricketing nations begins on August 27. In the 15th Asia Cup, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India,Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Oman will compete.

The seventh and final team for this year's Asia Cup will be decided via a four-team round-robin qualifier between Hong Kong, Kuwait, Singapore, and United Arab Emirates.

India has won seven out of the fourteen Asia Cup championships, placing them first on the list. The Asia Cup this year will be unique since it has switched from a 50-over format to a T20 competition in anticipation of the ICC T20 World Cup in October.
