Asia Cup 2022 Format:

The Asia Cup, which will be contested in the T20 format, is scheduled to take place from August 27 to September 11.

This year's competition will include six teams, including those from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. UAE, Kuwait, Singapore, and Hong Kong will compete for the sixth berth in a qualifier.

The competition will be played in the T20 format since it will provide the six participating Asian sides with a significant opportunity to warm up before the ICC T20 World Cup, which is scheduled to take place in Australia later this year.

The 20-over format will be used at the Asia Cup for the second time during its fifteenth iteration. Under 2016, the Asia Cup was played in the T20 format for the first time.
